• Amit Techno Vision Launches MPPT charge controller for solar applications

MPPT abbreviation for maximum peak power tracking. Solar cells constitute solar panel which is effectively used to charge batteries or drive other utilities/gadgets. generally peak power of the solar panel lies somewhere slightly below the open circuit voltage of the respective solar panel. But again, this peak point varies as per varying wheather conditions, ambient temperature and few other factors. Now to extract the optimum from the solar panel, this peak power has to be tracked every moment. This is what is exactly done by the MPPT charge controller from Amit Techno Vision. this extracts about 10% to 30% more power from the solar panel as compared to PWM charge controllers subject to varying atmospheric conditions. • Amit Techno Vision launches MPPT based solar street lights

MPPT based street lights incorporate peak power tracking alogrithm for battery charging. This enhances the reliability of the system because MPPT charges the batteries at much faster rate than the conventional PWM based chargers and so we can get the reliable operation of dusk to dawn for the street lights even during bad weather conditions when generally PWM based charge controller based steet lights fail. Also MPPT based street light renders it possible to use smaller wattage solar panels and less AH batteries for the same performance, thus reducing the overall cost of the system.
